Southport Weekender Returns!

Southport Weekender was proud to reveal to music lovers that it will return on Saturday, June 10th, 2017. London’s Finsbury Park will host the brand new event. This news was extremely exciting as the festival bid an emotional goodbye to fans in 2015 after years of celebrations. Its return is a reason to rejoice as the festival is one of the United Kingdom’s most musically diverse and is known as ‘the world’s friendliest party!’

2017 will not only mark the year of Southport Weekender’s return, but also a brand new chapter because its the first time it will take place in London. In addition, this year’s event offers a lineup created with care, love, and thirty years of event-planning experience.

Southport Weekender 2017 Lineup

Some of the best names in the music industry will perform at this year’s festivities. For example, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Kerri Chandler, one of the most successful producer’s in electronic music, are two of the headliners. Additionally, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Tony Humphries and Danny Krivit, all New York natives, proudly host American names on the lineup including Derrick Carter and Delano Smith. Juan Atkins, a techno pioneer, and the talented Osunlade will also perform ground-shaking sets. Meanwhile, Dan Shake will deliver sounds that signifies a new era of talent that is inspired by classic house music.

Other musicians that promise to deliver amazing performances include Joey Negro and Jazzie B (OBE). These two Brits will bring soul music to SouthPort Weekender along with Culoe De Song from South Africa and Detroit Swindle.

Additionally, Grant Nelson, a UK garage legend, and LTJ Bukem, a drum and buss musician, are both set to perform. Finally, Julie McKnight, the beautiful voice of Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘Finally’, will perform live.
