This year Electric Zoo’s theme was inspired by the love for its home. Electric Zoo is always committed to putting on a festival New Yorkers can brag about. For this years festival, New York will be adding a new borough on Labor Day Weekend. The “6th Boro” is a visual love letter to NYC that will be on the very heart of Randall’s Island. It is calling partiers from all over to come rage for 3 days in the Greatest City in the World.
The 6th Boro will be bringing five never-before-seen stages to Randall’s Island Park. Festival goers will be able to dance their hearts out to many of the world’s biggest electronic music artists like Galantis, DJ Snake, Zedd, deadmau5, and even Excision as a special guest. While these DJs fill your souls with the music that makes you feel good, there will also be “breathtaking light shows and spectacular pyrotechnics, interactive installations and art, New York’s best food vendors, the craziest parade, the wildest party of Ibiza–elrow, Dutch techno powerhouse Awakenings and much more.” With all of that you can imagine Electric Zoo: The 6th Boro will be your utopian dance-tropolis this September.
THE STAGES OF THE 6TH BORO
Each stage was specifically designed for Electric Zoo: The 6th Boro to portray the different neighborhoods of New York.
Main Stage – The Elephant’s Roar
The main stage has a massive elephant storming down the avenue with wires carrying the vibes through the skyscraper city. The biggest moments of the festival will happen under the Elephant’s Roar. It is the heart of New York City, but instead of listening to the busy city life, you will be able to lose yourself in the music surrounding you.

Hilltop Arena – 6th Boro Station & Elrow presents Bollywood
On Friday and Saturday Hilltop Arena will be the 6th Boro subway station. The futuristic station will have trains running fast with wires hanging all around it. This stage was designed for the craziest of festival goers to see top of the line visuals and décor. “Nobody’s leaving this stop because the party here never ends.”

On Saturday night a huge transformation to the Hilltop Arena will take place. Electric Zoo will turn the aggressive bass of the 6th Boro Station into a Bollywood themed party coming straight from Ibiza. On Sunday Elrow, Ibiza’s #1 party, will immerse you in a theatrical movement filled with color, house vibes, and goodies to create an electric atmosphere.

Riverside – Undersea Dome
Welcome to the deep sea district! At this stage you will be looking at a huge underwater dome filled with glowing sea animals and colorful coral reefs. Land is scarce in New York so why not live in the ocean where there is a futuristic light show. If you are a fan of Jauz, prepare for this stage to perfectly compliment his Off the Deep End stage takeover.

Awakenings
This stage is designed straight from the Dutch techno festival. In order to make all the techno fans feel at home, Awakenings will be a dark industrial zone filled with lasers and insane visuals. You will be entering a club atmosphere, where the music will take over.

6 Pointz
While all the other stages surround you with stunning lights, 6 Pointz will be the stage to find the best local New York artists. It is a tribute to 5 Pointz, which was a mecca for graffiti artists around the world to show off their work. To sum up, all of these stages are designed to allow you to lose yourself in the moment and enter into a completely different world as soon as you walk through the gates.
