Dennis Ferrer Long Awaited Debut at London’s fabric & More

Dennis Ferrer debut at Fabric London February 10th first time ever

US house legend Dennis Ferrer already has plans on starting 2018 with a real bang. As the man behind the definitive house label Objektivity, Dennis will make his long overdue debut at London’s fabric on February 10th, 2018. This will be the first time playing at the vital club. Ferrer is sure to make a real mark with his well rounded mix of deep house and melodic techno.

Dennis Ferrer

One of Dennis Ferrer’s most recent hits was a remix of Damian Lazarus’s Fly Away. It reached number 2 in Beatport house Top 100 and 18 overall. As you can see, Dennis remains as influential now as he was when he started over a decade ago. His label continues to unearth, mentor and foster some of the best new talents in the world. Included is the likes of Andre Hommen, Nasser Baker and CJ Jeff who have benefited from the Objektivity platform. The label has plenty lined-up for 2018. It will be celebrating its 12th year of releasing intelligent music for intelligent people rather than simply signing “big names”.

LOCAL HEROES

Skream collab with Dennis Ferrer debut at Fabric London February 10th

In addition to Dennis Ferrer’s fabric debut, he will also be teaming up with Skream in 2018. Ferrer and Skream are launching a wicked new project called LOCAL HEROES. This will be a global series of events starting in the UK. The pair will perform multiple b2b gigs worldwide where they will hand pick a local DJ talent from each city and destination to join them on the decks and showcase their sound.

The two legends kicked it off after Skream invited Dennis to play his stage at 2017 Eastern Electronics. The aim of the project is to pay tribute to the true talented dj’s and producers, hand picked by Dennis and Skream to support them in each city. Expect a number of collaborative releases by Ferror & Skream under the moniker “Local Heroes”. The first release is already scheduled to drop on Objektivity in the first quarter of 2018, called Old Yella.

The UK & Dennis Ferrer

The UK and the New York based Dj has always had a great relationship. Dennis Ferrer’s sound is well informed by the past but always looks to the future. It ranges from dark and driving to more deep and emotive. Ferrer’s sound has taken him to plenty of key clubs and festivals. There has also been high profile media support and plenty of plays for his remixes and originals across Radio 1.

Looking at the year ahead, Ferrer says to be “wrapping up some pretty interesting stuff”, involving 2 respected and well known UK labels. And there’s no better place to try this new material than fabric London!

The next chapter in Dennis’s story with the UK is only beginning and promises to be the most exciting chapter yet.
