Insomniac has been taking the festival world by storm in 2019. From EDC Las Vegas to Electric Forest, to their most recent acquisition of Okeechobee, the brand’s future has never looked brighter! However, before we look ahead to what Insomniac has in store for 2020, we must not forget that EDC has one last stop to make this year in Orlando, FL.
In 2011, Pasquale Rotella took a risk and brought his electric daisy carnival to Central Florida for the very first time. At the time, EDC was being tested in various cities across the nation in search of a location where electronic music would be sustainable. Fortunately for Orlando, the headbangers, kandi kids, and techno lovers of Central Florida proved that the city was more than deserving of such an honor. It’s incredible to think that eight years later EDC Orlando is still here, ready to dance and celebrate some MAJOR new additions to the festival.

I have had the privilege of attending EDC Orlando three times in the past five years, and each time was unique and more magical than the last. Seeing the improvements made to stage designs, the layout of the festival grounds, and the addition of more art installations, EDC Orlando is nothing short of a raver’s dreamland. And with the expansion of the festival from two days to three, fans have even more to celebrate this year!
What does this mean for the overall experience?
It will be BIGGER and BETTER than ever!
Now that the lineup spans across three days, more of our favorite artists will be in attendance unveiling new and exciting stage designs! To be exact, the Orlando festival is hosting over 100 top dance music artists this year, which is a significant increase from last year’s event. EDC will welcome ANNA, Cray Fisher, Gorgon City, i_o, Nora En Pure, San Holo, and Zhu as they make their Orlando debut!
Sounds perfect right? That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Dreamstate will be hosting VII Crew who is making their first and only U.S. appearance. The hardest dance sounds will be brought by Basscon (of course) but if you want a smoother sound, head over to neonGARDEN. Adam Bayer and Green Velvet will be performing Drumcode and La La Land, respectively. Headliners will also have the opportunity to perform on curated stages from Factory 93, Bassrush, and Insomniac Music Group.
If all that wasn’t enough, Kaskade will be blessing kineticFIELD with a sunset set on one of the days. (I may be biased about the last line but, if you haven’t experienced this YOU NEED TO! Magic happens at these sets).

For those of you familiar with EDC Las Vegas, you already know of stereoBLOOM. This is the first time in the history of the festival that it will be traveling across the country to make its EDC Orlando debut. Exclusively for the festival, it will have a modified design opening each side of the stage by 30%. Additionally, fans will be able to experience incredible ANIMA which debuted at EDC LV this year. Since the festival expanded its footprint by 20+ acres, attendees will have even more room to wander out of this world, experience unforgettable sets, and interact with art at every turn.

I am excited to explore the new grounds and couldn’t be happier about the extended artist lineup. With EDC moving from two days to three, we were naturally anticipating an increase in ticket prices.
But, guess what?
