PinkPop Festival Announces Epic Headliners

PinkPop Festival, held annually in Landgraaf, Netherlands, announced it’s 2015 lineup recently and it looks amazing! Muse is set to headline the festival alongside the Foo Fighters, and we expect an even more exciting array of rock and alternative artists will be announced soon. The festival takes place each year on Pentecost weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name) and is the oldest and longest running annual festival dedicated to rock and pop music in the world.

Some 700 acts have played the festival since it’s inception, and the festival sold out six years in a row between 2006 and 2011. Past acts have included Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Limp Bizkit, John Mayer, Flogging Molly, Rob Zombie and Mastodon… and that’s just from the 2014 lineup! With around a 60,000 people per day capacity and performances on three separate stages, festival-goers expect big things from PinkPop this year.

A little about the headliners:

Foo Fighters: Founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994 following the death of Kurt Cobain, the Foo Fighters are an internationally recognized rock band adored by millions. With hits like “Learn to Fly”, “All My Life” and “The Pretender”, they have won over ten Grammy Awards for everything from Best Music Video to Best Rock Album. Known for their energetic and unforgettable stage performances, this is one you don’t want to miss!

Muse: Muse is a powerful and revolutionary English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon which formed in 1994. Known for their extravagant live performances fuzing rock, progressive/alternative rock, symphonic rock and electronica, Muse has one of the best live shows out there! Muse have released six well received studio albums including the highly popular Black Holes and Revelations (2006) and The 2nd Law (2012), and have played countless festivals including Glastonbury Festival and Austin City Limits music Festival. Again, this show is going to be insane!
