Sound of Music 2014 Line-up

FestPop’s Pick for Best Family-Friendly Music Festival

Burlington ON Canada’s largest free music festival is proud to announce another stellar line-up. “We are so excited to present this level of entertainment to our city. It is only possible with the partnership of our corporate sponsors, support partners and the help of over 800 volunteers over the course of the event,” said Festival President, Terry Sims. “We look forward to celebrating our 35th year of free outdoor concerts and welcoming over 200,000 visitors and residents to Burlington.”

The Festival Kick-off on June 7 will feature Lou Gramm: The Voice of Foreigner and returning favourite Kim Mitchell. “We’re also excited to be partnering with the annual Moon in June run this year and hosting the post race activities at Spencer Smith Park during the evening performance”, said Dave Miller, Executive Director.

The Sheepdogs, Classified, Monster Truck, Colin James, Jason Blaine, Trooper, Sloan, Gord Downie, The Sadies, Kira Isabella, Maestro Fresh Wes, Jarvis Church, Karl Wolf, Fred Penner and Ashley MacIsaac will all take the various stages at this year’s Festival. “Sound of Music has always been an event that caters to all, we feel strongly that this line-up delivers on that promise,” said Programming Committee Chair, Baldeep Randhawa.

The Festival is pleased to announce the return of the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Sweet Seats benefiting the Royal Botantical Gardens, Green Angels fund. Sweet Seat tickets include VIP hospitality and seating for Festival Stage shows, catered meals and access to an exclusive bar. Tickets are on sale at soundofmusic.ca/sweet-seats.

June 7, 12th to 15th, 2014, will mark Sound of Music Festival’s 35th year. Canada’s Largest Free Music Festival at Burlington’s downtown and waterfront welcomes over 200,000 visitors annually to enjoy free concerts spanning all genres. The event features 100 acts across 10 stages, the Grande Festival Parade with more than 20 marching bands, Downtown Streetfest, Family Zone, Carnival and much more.
