Madonna wants “EDM” to stand for “Everybody Dances to Madonna.” While that statement may have been the pinnacle of truth in her 1980’s glory days, the 56-year-young triple threat with a physique that won’t quit is breathing new life into that deflated status with a release of some very calculated club remixes of her song “Living for Love.”
The song, off Madonna’s upcoming album Rebel Heart set to release through Interscope Records in March, has undergone four remixes (with more to come) now available on the artist’s Youtube page and “scheduled to go to DJ’s and clubs” according to her press people. That means listen now and expect to hear more.
The thing is, the remixes aren’t half bad to the casual listener getting ready for a “rager” night out or blissfully dancing to at a nondescript nightclub with so-and-so on a weekend night. And for fans of Madonna’s current stuff, the remixes really do provide that amped-up edge the artist would never originally produce herself and give it that party-night vibe many young people seek in an old fashioned club ballad like “Living for Love.”
Madonna has had a record breaking 43 Number One records on the Billboard Dance Chart. Madonna is already the No. 1 breakout artist on Billboard’s dance club song chart with the original album version of “Living For Love” which also had a hot-shot debut at 32 on the dance club charts.
