La Blogotheque’s Vincent Moon and Lulacruza announce visual album and share “Pensar Bonito”

Lulacruza

Director Vincent Moon and electro-shamanic duo Lulacruza, just released a new video for “Pensar Bonito” of a nine-song visual album titled Esperando el Tsunami. The visual album is a followup to the 2011 documentary film of the same name that follows the band as they perform in ancestral lands throughout Colombia that honor the voices of the country’s diverse landscape.

Lulacruza consists of Alejandra Ortiz from Colombia and Luis Maurette of Argentina. Their electronic folk sound mixes shamanic and ritualistic influences with folk and electronic music.

HuffPo Entertainment had this to say about the duo: “As musical alchemists, Ortiz and Maurette have achieved a harmonious balance between organic and inorganic sounds creating a truly shamanic sonic journey.”

The visual album is directed by the acclaimed Vincent Moon, who The New York Times refers to as the “prodigious French filmmaker who reinvented the music video.” He is world-famous for his wildly popular “Take Away Shows” on La Blogotheque.

For the “Pensar Bonito” video, Vincent Moon filmed Lulacruzaat a river within Tayrona National Park, Colombia as they collaborated with various mentors and rising Latin American stars, Teto Ocampo and Jimena Angel.

The full visual album, Esperando el Tsunami, will be released in early March followed by Lulacruza’s fifth studio album Orcas in April. Orcas was mixed and mastered by Nicolas Jaar’s sound engineer Vance Galloway and will be released on The Polish Ambassador’s boutique label Jumpsuit Records. Lulacruza can be caught live at Envision Festival-Costa Rica this Feb. 26-March 1, 2015, followed by a summer tour in the United States.

They’ll be premiering the next track from the visual album soon… so stay tuned!
