There’s another pretty large country-leaning festival coming to Walnut Creek this fall. The inaugural American Roots Music & Arts Festival announced their lineup for the October dated festival in Raleigh, NC this morning and boy, it is definitely rooted in the classic American sound. North Carolina’s own Eric Church headlines two days followed by an extraordinary line-up of artists ranging in sound from college-radio stars Modest Mouse to rocked-up hip-hop band The Roots, with Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Warren Haynes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grace Potter, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chris Stapleton, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, and Greensky Bluegrass. Additional performers and events will be announced soon.
The festival will take place on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC. The American Roots Festival is presented by Live Nation and American Roots Festival, LLC, a subsidiary of BlackBird Production Partners, LLC. The festival aims to bring music fans together with local food, beer, and crafts vendors and honor Raleigh and the Triangle area community at The Taste of Raleigh Food & Brew Celebration, schedule to take place at the festival throughout the weekend.
Keith Wortman, CEO of Blackbird Production Partners, LLC says, “Raleigh has an energy that celebrates the best in music, food and arts, making it the perfect place to launch the American Roots Music & Arts Festival.
