Festival season is here! Mark your calendars this July 12 -14th, because AIM Electronic Music Festival is the place to be! Taking place only one hour outside of Montreal, Canada, AIM festival is back for its 5th anniversary. The venue is set against the breathtaking historical site of the Outaouais River in Parc Carillon. This year’s edition will be celebrating ‘Monolithes City’ theme. With this theme, you can expect a classic fusion of old and new, as it beautifully intertwines the heritage of the land with excellent music production. A curated lineup will offer exciting headliners like John Digweed, Anna, Sabo, Pig & Dan [live], Anja Schneider, Danny Tenaglia and many more. This festival offers an undeniable and unparalleled experience, as guests get the chance to immerse themselves in 32 hours non-stop music while camping amidst nature and friends.
The festival is split into five stages; AIM Stage, Moonlithes stage, The Trance Arena, The Bass Pit, and Multi Culti. So, there is electronic music for everyone’s taste. Headlining AIM stage is none other than legendary John Digweed, who’ll be performing a four hour extended set. Joining him is South America’s techno expert ANNA and Berlin’s minimal maven Anja Schnieder. Pig & Dan will also be making their first Canadian appearance as a live act, along with many more international artists! The Monolithes Stage will bring in headliner and legend NYC house artist Danny Tenaglia, with a very special 4 hour house set. Dessert Hearts favourites, Mikey Lion and Lee Reynolds will also be performing and bringing back their funky, infectious and eccentric energy to the festival.
Just like its name, The Trance Arena is the perfect stage for trance lovers. Coldharbour Recordings have yet to announce their special headliner, but expect an incredible four hour set of majestic trance. Here, you’ll also be grooving along to iconic brotherly duo Arkham Knights and deep progressive artist Dave Neven. In The Bass Pit, you’ll be welcomed by Code:Pandorum with their cutting edge bass and sounds of haunting dubstep. This stage also brings on many local artists including Hyde, Montreal native Matt Doe and Lawz. ‘Multi Culti’, a stage hosted by and headlined by Thomas Von Party welcomes everyone with an open heart and imaginative mind. Here you can dance along to the eclectic and expressive sounds of Drugface, Sabo, Thomass Jackson and many more!
