Amsterdam Dance Event Announces Lineup


The Amsterdam Dance Event, or ADE, which is scheduled for October 19-23rd, its the world’s biggest conferenced, club-based festival for electronic music in the entire world. An astounding 375,000 visitors from across the globe are expected to attend this incredible event.  The organizers of the epic festival also revealed the launch of the ADE SLEEP/OVER, which is guaranteed to be a rage within itself. This new edition to the event is a campsite at the NDSM WHARF. It will feature a variety of exclusive talks and performances for guests.

The Lineup

In the first wave, the ADE organizers announced that “Scripted Orkestra,” a joint effort between the famous prouder/performer/composer Henrik Schwarz and the world’s most influential non-classical orchestra, Metropole Orkest, will be opening the event.  Additionally artists who were announced in first wave include:

Amsterdam Dance Event’s New SLEEP/OVER at NDSM

ADE’s premier SLEEP/OVER, a temporary campsite, will be located just 15 minutes away from Amsterdam’s central station. NDSM is an expansive post industrial Shipyard.  This temporary mini-city is set in an ideal location because of the large numbers of expected international visitors. Guests can take the party back to their heated campsite. There will be 400 sleeping accommodations with an insanely gorgeous view of Amsterdam.

The ADE Conference

Another incredibly special and unique aspect of Amsterdam Dance Event is the conference. It allows the international music scene to connect. This enables an optimal environment for both the business and insipiration aspect of electronic music. ADE’s conference aims to appeal to every component of the entire music industry. To accomplish this, its organizers divide the event into nine themed sub-programs. By doing so, the conference creates platforms for start-ups, students, business professionals, aspiring artists and producers, VJ’s, stage designers, and visual artists. Additionally, the programs provide an extensive amount of insight into the the connection between dance music and business, technology and music, harder urban music genres, and the ecologically friendly approaches to the dance music world.

Speakers for this incredible conference include, producers Tommy D (GB) and Luca Pretolesi (IT).  Steve Bartels (CEO of Def Jam, US), Bruce Eskowitz (COO Red Light Management, US), Molly Neuman (head of Music Kickstarter, US), and Dan Miller (Mute Records, GB) are also going to speak.

Added speakers to the conference were also announced in the second wave by Amsterdam Dance Event’s representatives. CEO and co-founder of My Love Affaire, Raphael Aflalo, will speak about his insights during ADE Dance & Brands. This is a sub-conference that connects brands with the growing electronic music industry. He will speak on October 20th. Additionally, Hudsan Mohawke, a Scottish electronic music entrepenuer, Soulection, a game changing collective out of L.A, Om’mas who is a Grammy Award winner, and Holland’s very own MC’s Sevn Alis & Hef were also revealed as conference speakers.
