With the last rays of sunshine and sounds of waves crushing on the shore, we have officially closed this summer party season. There are few of us who are not depressed with what September brought us, abnormally warm weather, going back to work, so while we are scrolling thru pictures and videos taken on some wild summer party destination, our eyes began to tear up. Lovers of electronic music scene are probably the ones who get hit the hardest by the end of the summer, which means returning to reality of daily jobs and chores for another long and cold 10 months. Party lovers are known for putting on most weight during the winter, which for us is known as the most depressing time period. So we ask ourselves, where can one rekindle fire of life, where do we go from here?!
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, well not literal end, but a very bright one. All roads lead to, none of the less, but the Netherlands. When EDM scene shuts down in all Ibizas, Croatias and Greeces of Mediterranean, the Old Faithful is always here, and Amsterdam never failed to save the day.
We are less than one month shy of surely the most famous and most recognized event of dance scene in Europe. Also known as Amsterdam Dance Event, or ADE for short. Taking place in Dutch capital from 18th to 22nd of October, ADE will be a place to be for all EDM lovers.
History
Brief history of event started back in 1995., as a daily conference gathering 300 or so people and 30 DJs, ADE showed tremendous growth on a year to year basis. It didn’t take long for things to skyrocket and for ADE to become an event recognizable worldwide. A place where who-is-who of dance music scene meet up, share their experiences, bring new ideas to the table, announce new projects, make acquaintances, socialize with most famous artists and most important, enjoy numerous parties and concerts in abundance.
For the duration of five days there will be more than 140 locations with 2500 artists and 550 speakers, which makes this event an EDM paradise. This year it is estimated more than 350,000 people attending. so if you are planning to visit, go and buy tickets and book your rooms ASAP, because Amsterdam has been booked for months, facing this festival, free rooms and beds are almost impossible to find, according to booking.com 98% of the rooms were already booked by the end of August.
Conferences
The whole premise of ADE is based on conferences during the day, my favorite part; party by night, and different playgrounds. ADE offers multiple passes. The ADE PASS is an all-access ADE program. The ADE CONFERENCE PASS (4 days) includes access to complete daily program, and ADE PASS and ADE CONFERENCE PASS also gives you pass to online database.
Program
The program during the days is really interesting. It includes various workshops, socializing and listening to what your favorite artist has to say on MusicTalk. During these Q&A sessions, you’ll get the chance to ask artists any question you want. Sounds like fun doesn’t it? Author of legendary Tale of Edinburgh low life Trainspotting who has also written two collections of short stories during his years as a raver at the beginning of the house scene, Irvine Welsh, also is a guest interviewer at 2017 edition of ADE. We will also have a chance to hear what Dennis De Bruin has to say, a man who has over 10 years of experience at EDM stage, specialized in discovering new markets and new business ideas. Amongst others, Gary Numan, and many more speakers are enough of a reason to click that buy ticket button and book your flight this October.
Not to be confused, ADE is much more than a business convention and a Mecca of business networking, it is your chance to come and witness world top DJs performing, while making your stay unforgettable. For those 5 days, there aren’t neighborhoods in Amsterdam, that won’t be dancing in the rhythm of world’s best EDM artists of today. Armin van Buuren, a.k.a. the king of trance, founder of radio show A State of Trance, that goes on every Tuesday, for over 16 years, who performed for Dutch Royal family, will also be guest star at this year’s event performing for the first time together with Hardwell. Also we will enjoy Dave Clark, Aly&Fila, Nicky Romero, Nina Kraviz, Cosmic Gate, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Chris Liebing just to name a few, which are ready to give you a memorable experience and high on EDM.
