This summer, over 50,000 attendees will flock to Bushwick Inlet Park for Brooklyn Live at The Inlet Presented by Century 21, a concert series featuring acts from Indie Rock, Deep House and Electronica, as well as Hip-Hop.
The series, located at 50 Kent Avenue, will kick off in June with the return of Northside Festival with shows featuring Neko Case, Built to Spill, Best Coast, Run the Jewels, Sleigh Bells and more. The site will once again play host to The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, an annual celebration of the best and brightest in Hip-Hop and the borough of Brooklyn, featuring Grammy and Oscar-winning artist Common. The Greatest Day Ever will also return for an all day celebration of great music as well as carnival games and an array of food trucks.
Verboten StageONE returns for an expanded 2015 summer series of events at Bushwick Inlet Park. They’ve brought together some massive DJ lineups, top-notch production and great food & refreshments to recreate the Verboten experience in a large-scale outdoor environment.
The site will also play host to a series of six free shows done in partnership with Brooklyn Flea, the borough’s food and antiques mecca. More information on these shows and other programming to come, so stay tuned to Brooklyn-Live.com.
“Williamsburg has an incredibly rich history of art and music, and we’re really excited to bring a large scale music series back to the neighborhood,” says Northside co-founder Daniel Stedman (co-founder of The L Magazine, Brooklyn Magazine, SummerScreen, Taste Talks and Northside Festival. “We’ve been operating in the neighborhood since the inauguration of the McCarren Pool with our SummerScreen series, which celebrates its ten year anniversary this summer. And we hope that Brooklyn Live will have that kind of longevity.”
The series is produced with the support of New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn (OSA). Proceeds from the concert series will be used to help maintain, activate, and further develop the Park. “OSA is psyched to have Northside Media bringing back to Bushwick Inlet Park what is now the 10th consecutive season of our outdoor concert series in North Brooklyn,” says Executive Director Ed Janoff. “We have a very strong concert lineup this year to compliment all the other programming featured at the site including Brooklyn Flea, outdoor movies, free yoga, free bicycle classes and more.”
