DIRTYBIRD Campout will return to Oak Canyon Park in Southern California, October 7-9, for a second year. Loyal campers rejoice at the thought of another weekend of late night tom-foolery. Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, and the rest of the DIRTYBIRD counselors are upping their game of more than 60 activities including kick-ball, BBQ, muddy tug-o-war, and of course, booty-quaking beats.
Picture the inaugural DIRTYBIRD Campout like the summer camp from the Parent Trap—you know, the one with two Lindsay Lohans—but with fewer rules, fewer kids, and a lot more music. Three ridiculous days are filled with a cabin load of activities, music, and memories only Counselor Claude could provide. Whether campers spent their days playing Balloon Toss with J. Philip, shooting bow and arrows with Christina Martin, making pizza with Justin Martin or getting smacked in the face with a dodge ball by Ardalan, at some point the dance floor came calling, and when it did, it was with the siren song of some of electronic’s finest music.
Last summer, DJs like Daniel Bell and Benoit & Sergio, EPROM and Nosaj Thing, Solar, Laura Jones, Jesse Rose, and of course, the DIRTYBIRD family, sent campers home with a handful of mosquito bites and unforgettable music memories.
