Atlanta’s Back – in a BIG way!

We’ve all gotten cabin fever being locked up in our houses for the past 7 months. Starting tomorrow, Atlanta will finally have the opportunity to see the light of day. Rival Entertainment, in coordination with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, is hosting Big Night Out at Centennial Olympic Park all weekend long (October 23-25, 2020)!

What is Big Night Out?

This is the city’s first event of its kind that will re-introduce live music to our new normal. Fans can purchase private pods for 4 – 6 people, pricing starts at $200, and a variety of lawn locations are available but, most importantly, don’t forget to wear your mask!

Tickets are still available but, limited due to the capacity of the park being reduced by 90%. BONUS POINTS for extra safety because each pod is 6 feet apart from the other to ensure adequate distance & safety for patrons.

✔️ SAFETY!

Who’s Playing Big Night Out?

Now, this event isn’t like your typical concert or festival. Big Night Out is a series featuring a variety of acts each night so don’t worry, you can purchase tickets for 1 night or all 3 depending on which music tickles your fancy.

Night 1 – Moon Taxi with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

Are you looking for a laid back, funky night, featuring some indie-alternative & jam band tunes? Night 1 is the choice for you. Featuring Moon Taxi & Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, fans will be delighted to a sound we have come to love that reminds us of breezy summer nights. Can we expect to hear new music? ABSOLUTELY! Both bands released new music for 2020 and we are sure they have been dying to play it live for all to hear. Night 1 is sure to have you dancing in your pod and break you out of that quarantine funk.

Night 2 – Marcus King Trio with Futurebirds

Maybe Night 1 isn’t for you. What about an evening filled with Blues, Indie, and Rock music? Then pick night 2! In true southern fashion, Big Night Out gives us big music sounds from some southern natives. Atlanta welcomes back Georgia natives Futurebirds to open Saturday night. We anticipate the band to play their new album Teamwork as well as fan favorites Rodeo & Virginia Slims. The music doesn’t end there because Marcus King Trio will be closing out the night. We expect to see a stellar performance and hear some big hits like The Well off their new album El Dorado. Do not sleep on night two, with a hometown performance from Futurebirds & a seasoned drive-in concert performance Marcus King Trio, this may be the best of the 3 nights.

Night 3 – Big Boi & Friends featuring KP the Great

Still looking for a different style? Night 3 brings the soul & hip hop back to the city that produced some of the greatest in the game. Big Boi & Friends featuring KP the Great close out the weekend in true Atlanta style. As a surprise, the event recently announced that Big Grams, would be a featured Guest for Night 3. What can you else expect? To be completely honest, we don’t know but prepare for anything and everything. Could Killer Mike & Big Rube show up? Potentially. Big Boi did just drop a new single with them called We the Ones? Could there be a mini OutKast reunion? We would LOVE for that to happen but, again couldn’t say either way. The only way to find out is to go, sit back, & safely enjoy the show!

What else do you need to know?

This isn’t all the event has to offer. Food & Beverage concessions will be open but, everything will be, wait for it, CASHLESS! Plus hand wash & sanitizing stations will be available throughout the park for easy access to all fans. These are just a few of the extra steps Rival Entertainment is taking to ensure the safety of staff & patrons.

What can you expect upon arrival? Your temperature will be checked & verified. From there, you will be able to access your pod with your group. After that, it’s time to safely enjoy the show from your pod. Make sure to bring a chair or blanket in case you want to relax for a moment. Don’t worry about the mid show snack or bathroom break. Each pod will have 6’ wide walkways that will connect your pod to any areas you may need to access.
