Camp Summerdaze: Disconnect To Reconnect

Camp Summerdaze is an intimate boutique experience located on a private lakefront property in Northern Ontario, Canada. It spans over three days, taking place on Friday June 14 – Sunday June 16, 2019. The lineup includes artists Britta Unders, Eduardo Castillo (DJ + Live set), Madmotormiquel, Mandrake, Miyagi, and more! Never heard of these artists before? That’s because Camp Summerdaze attracts patrons who are into more ambient, euphoric and earthy house music. This year, the theme for the festival is ‘Connectivity’ and patrons are invited to embrace the ethos through yoga & meditation, outdoor activities, art installations, healthy eating and of course beautifully curated music! Here’s what you can expect at Camp Summerdaze!

Yoga & Meditation

Camp Summerdaze hosts yoga and meditation sessions throughout the weekend for patrons who are interested in starting their day refreshed and recharged. Certified yoga instructors lead the sessions in order to carry out the festival’s themes of community, wellness and self-reflection. Make connections with new friends, strengthen bonds with old ones and discover something new about yourself, through calming yoga and meditation.

Speakers & Workshops

Last year, the festival hosted an inspiring lineup of speakers, touching on the topics of self love, crystals & chakras, sexuality and psychedelics. Some of the workshops included making dream catchers, chakra balancing, breath work meditation and how to read auras. The series of workshops and speakers make for an enlightening weekend, geared towards those who are eager to apply the tools they’ve learned to the real world.

Vendors

Keeping with the Bohemian/urban-hippie vibes, Camp Summerdaze has a small lineup of vendors who sell their handmade goods throughout the weekend. Artists include Catch the Spirit, Chic Made Consciously, Laborde Jewelry, Moon Sistar and Stepping Stone Holistic Living. Patrons are invited to check out the products made by local artists, most who use eco-friendly or recycled materials. Taking home something handmade that was crafted with love, is a lot more rewarding than buying another band shirt.

Outdoor Activities

In the dead heat of June, patrons can take advantage of the beautiful lake on the back of the festival’s private property. You can kayak, canoe, paddle board, water ski and swim under the sun with all your friends. The festival also offers lawn games, basketball and tennis courts.  All of these activities are included in your ticket! Chill out in the water and explore what Northern Ontario has to offer, right in the backyard of Camp Summerdaze.

Healers

In 2018, the festival had an amazing lineup of healers who guided patrons on a journey of spiritual healing through different methods and backgrounds. The types of healing included card readings, massages, and sound + crystal healing. Last year, all 5 healers brought something different to the table, surely offering something that appeals to everyone interested in personal growth and relief.

There you have it! Disconnect to reconnect at Camp Summerdaze! Campers will stay in cabins on a sprawling property that features multiple fire pits, water activities and family style meals served throughout the weekend. It’s a cozy festival that brings people together who share their love for electronic music and everything nature has to offer.
