The legendary festival Family Piknik returns to the huge open Grammont field in 2019. Set to headline this year is Carl Cox, who is without a doubt the biggest name in the Techno industry. He will be delivering an extended 3 hour sunset mix from 19h to 22h. It will be right after Sven Väth‘s set of best vinyles from 4pm to 7pm. The cocoon veteran will be returning in 2019 for his 3rd Family Piknik. He has become a sort of godfather for the French festival as he really enjoyed the open-air state of mind and experimented crowd on the dancefloor.
The closing set on the Flamingo stage will be dedicated to a more melodic atmosphere. It will be something you won’t see anywhere else in France this year. Sasha & John Digweed will be sharing the decks like they used to do for Resistance, Ultra, Kappa Futur Festival and Creamfields to name a few.

Family Piknik
To start the event, The Opening Concert will be free for all festival attendees. It aims to be the perfect launch for the festival with a focus on some of the most exciting Live Acts within the Electronic scene. From 5pm to 2am, expect the Family Piknik to be filled with music. Meanwhile, on Sunday 4th of August, its’ 8th edition of the festival will start at 10am. The Main Stage will be focused on tech-house and techno. The Flamingo Stage will be dedicated to a deeper trip through some of the best progressive house DJs in action.
Family Piknik 2019 is set to be the biggest and best edition yet, with news of a third ‘secret stage’. It will be located in the middle of the woods so people can experience a new dance floor right under the trees.
Festival-goers will be able to return to Family Piknik in 2019 on June 15th starting at Montpellier Airport. There will be a new Boarding to Family Piknik event next to the planes. The first edition got a huge feedback from medias all around the world and went sold-out under a few weeks only. What should have been a one-shot special event for Montpellier Airport’s 80th birthday is now one more main event for the Family Piknik team.
