Coachella Founder Paul Tollett Launches Desert Trip

Paul Tollett, CEO of Goldenvoice, & founder of Coachella

Desert Trip in Coachella will be the 2016 version of 1969’s Woodstock Music and Art Fair. This will be over 2 weekends in October……October 7 – 9 and October 14-16 with rock legends The Who, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and Roger Waters at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

The man who dreamed up the festival, Coachella founder Paul Tollett recently revealed “It’s not really a festival — it’s a concert, two bands a day. I just thought those six bands should play together. It’s never been done.”

Incredulously, Desert Trip sold out in five hours. Orders came in from around the globe, said Paul Tollett, head of Goldenvoice. Interest in the event, he said, has been “unprecedented. … There were over 400,000 people trying to place orders,”

If you have your ticket you will still need accommodations.
