Coachella’s 2018 Lineup Shows Emerging Music Trends

Coachella 2018 April 13th-15th and 20th-22nd

The official lineup for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has finally arrived. As one of the nation’s most prestigious music festivals, Coachella returns for two weekend sets for April 13th-15th and 20th-22nd held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

We knew Beyonce would be one of the headliners for Coachella 2018, after her cancellation at last year’s festival due to her pregnancy. The festival’s parent company Goldenvoice made its announcement confirming that The Weeknd, Beyonce, and Eminem will be the headliners for the two weekend festival.

In addition to the three headliners, there will be additional performances by SZAHAIM, ODESZA, Tyler, the Creator, Portugal. The Man, Kygo and more.

The Weeknd had his Coachella debut at the festival in 2012. Meanwhile, Eminem will be making his Coachella debut atop the Sunday lineup in 2018. The Detroit rapper will be hitting the festival circuit hard this summer in support of his recent album Revival.

Coachella is known for giving evidence to the emerging trends in the music world. Previous lineups have shown rock at the top of the music spectrum. Yet, this year’s lineup shows that rap and R&B are taking over the music mainstream.
