The Visionaries Behind Beats, Beer and Boogaloo
Beats, Beer and Boogaloo is aiming to offer something that is truly unique for Croatia and the entire region. In fact, The Garden Festival was the original catalyst for the whole festival scene there. Nick and Charlott Colgan, the Garden Festival founders, instigated what is now one of the worlds most talked about dance music destinations. After their own festival concluded in 2015 they then launched their most ambitious project to date- building The Garden Brewery in Zagreb from scratch.
Craig is a legendary actor, host, and broadcaster and is one of UK’s most beloved Funk and Soul DJs. From Robot Wars to Red Dwarf, Craig has now grounded himself as a Funk & Soul icon after 10 years of broadcasting on BBC 6 Music with their primetime Saturday night show. Together they present Croatia’s brand new festival, Beats, Beer, and Boogaloo.
The idea for Beats, Beer and Boogaloo started when Nick and Charlotte invited Craig over to Zagreb for a DJ show when The Garden Brewery opened. Long chats followed as the beer flowed, and they came up with the idea of a brand new festival for the region. The combination of Craig wanting to do his own festival in the sun and Nick and Charlotte missing the buzz of producing The Garden Festival was too good for the guys to miss, and they set about planning Croatia’s newest festival for 2017.
Be sure to add this to your list for 2017!
