Last night Insomniac and the NOS Events Center welcomed over 45,000 fans to celebrate Halloween weekend as the 4th annual Escape All Hallows’ Eve (Escape) got underway. With its debut in 2011, this year marks the first time the festival has expanded to two days and, with sold out crowds, the change has been warmly received by fans from across the U.S.
Insomniac debuted their newest scenic stage design at the 120-foot tall Slaughterhouse stage. Some of today’s most well renowned dance music artists performed inside the mouth of a circus inspired clown face that looked over the crowd with bright LED eyes glaring and giant white teeth shaped like fangs. Flanked by 6000 square feet of ruby read drapes, massive LED screens and creative carnival production, the design and construction took approximately 1500 hours of labor to complete.
World renowned artists Afrojack, Dash Berlin, The Bloody Beetroots, Moby, Benny Benassi, and Sander van Doorn among others played ghoulish sets on four stages at the NOS Events Center. Day 2 begins today at 3pm.
