The Funk & Soul Weekender, or TF&SW, is a special festival that is dedicated to joining everything related to funk and soul music. The event, located in Rye, England, promises to return in 2017 with a focus on hip-hop beats, big brass sounds, and future soul. The festival’s organizers hope to blend afro beat, tropical, and world performances with a taste of house and disco music. TF&SW guarantees its 2017 soul-music-loving guests an incredible weekend with three days of outstanding performances in an unbelievable lineup. TF&SW’s 2017 lineup is as marvelous as ever. George Clinton, a funk and soul icon, is the headliner. He will perform with his electric live show that includes 16-piece Parliament Funkadelic! Other highly anticipated artists who promise amazing shows include hip-hop superstar The Sugarhill Gang, New Orlean’s Hot 8 Brass Band, and Good Times Ambassador Norman Jay . Other artists will perform at TF&SW include MBE, Crazy P Soundsystem, Mr. Scruff, Taylor McFerrin, Flamingods, United Vibrations, Omar, Nubiyan Twist, Jordan Rakel, and Akua Naru. In addition, The Funk & Soul Weekender will host performances by great musicians like 22a, Tru Thoughts, Wah Wah, Mr Bongo, Banana Hill, BBE, Band On the Wall, Strut, Mahogany Sessions, Fever 105, Sofar Sounds, Soundway, Tuckshop, Mr Bongo, Banana Hill, So Fresh So Clean, Total Refreshment Centre, Shut The Front Door, Kings Head/Kane FM, Leftfoot, Soul Jam, Stevie Wonderland and many more!
