The mixtape was a complete secret to the public until the collaborative artists shared the news via social media. The two Atlanta-based lyrical geniuses kept the mixtape very lowkey while they worked in the studio to produce the 13 tracks that makeup Super Slimey.
The 13 tracks include nine songs with both Future & Young Thug and four tracks made solo—two by Young Thug and two by Future. The mixtape also includes sounds from Atlanta-based artist Offset, Mike WILL Made-It, and London On Da Track. The combination of artists makes for one fire mixtape.
Super Slimey just might make the ranks as hip-hops biggest Fall release thus far. Future & Young Thug’s secret release mixtape is what we’ve been waiting for and it definitely went above and beyond unknown expectations. Basically, the hip-hop game hit new levels with this secret mixtape and who knows where it will go from here.
Future has continuously surprised fans in 2017. The artist kicked off the year with new FREEBANDZ Radio on Beats 1—global station on Apple Music, hosted by Future himself and DJ Esco. Followed by two number one albums on Billboards Top 200—FUTURE and HNDRXX. The artist headlined Nobody Safe Tour Part 1 this summer and is currently killing it on the Future Hndrxx Tour.
Young Thug has also had a very prosperous year. The artist toured internationally this year on Drake’s The Boy Meets World Tou and released award-winning album The Thugger Girls. As if Thug wasn’t already destroying the game this year, he also won the 2017 MTV Music Award for ‘Best Editing’ for his “Wyclef” music video.
