The long awaited album is set to be released on September 14, 2018 via a newly minted global partnership between the band’s MDDN label and BMG.
Generation Rx
Good Charlotte was first formed in 1996 by brothers Joel and Benji Madden and went on to be one of the most recognized bands in history and landed on numerous lists such as Rolling Stones ’50 Greatest Pop-Punk Albums’ and BuzzFeed’s ’36 Pop Punk Albums You Need to Hear Before you F—ing Die.’ Their newest album, Generation Rx, represents both a new chapter and full circle moment for the group. Powered by punk spirit, rock song craft, and cinematic ambition, Good Charlotte retains their signature vitality and vulnerability of their formative years, while delivering an urgent, unafraid, and undeniable message benefiting of two decades in the game.
The five-man powerhouse craft intricate, yet infectious anthems of hope for a generation under the shadow of the Opioid epidemic, icons gone too soon, mass tragedy, loneliness, and confusion. Produced by Zakk Cervini and Benji during intimate sessions at MDDN headquarters, the record finds Good Charlotte doing what they do best: speaking to the youth.
Good Charlotte will open up their tour to Europe and the UK starting February 1, 2019 – complete list of tour dates to come soon. Meanwhile, you can snag tickets to their North American tour here.
