The world’s leading event for electronic music, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), will be taking place from October 17-21, 2018. Organizers are expecting around 400,000 visitors from around the globe for the 23rd edition. This year many activities will focus on South Korea. Director Richard Zijlma states: ” The South Korean electronic music scene is growing rapidly, thanks to technological innovation and smart crossovers. During ADE we will focus on the very best the country has to offer across a wide range of festival and conference events.”
Last year’s edition featured over 2,500 artists and 550 speakers in a record-breaking 160 venues. The event attracts visitors from over 90 countries for five days of a completely immersive experience that looks at all aspects of electronic music culture. As the world’s largest club-based festival and conference for electronic music, ADE is committed to growing the day and nighttime activities by establishing partnerships with cultural institutions, and by adding new pavilions.
