Deadhead Products and Railroad Earth recently released the performance schedule for the wonderful Hillberry festival. Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival is scheduled for October 13-16, 2016 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for its second annual year.
Hillberry Artist Schedule Details
Railroad Earth, both a host and headliner for the festival, will perform two sets of their wonderful string sound on Saturday and Sunday nights. Greensky Bluegrass will also illuminate the main stage on Friday with their sounds from their new album, scheduled to debut on September 23. The Infamous Stringdusters is another performance to look forward to. Their unique harmonies, arrangements, and famous enthusiastic performance style can be caught on Sunday. Additionally, bands like Fruiton, Larry Keel, The Travelin’ McCourys, Elephant Revival, and many more will be joining the festivities. Moreover, there will be some light night performances from funk stars Turquaz and the New Mastersounds.

More About the Festival
Hillberry: the Harvest Moon Festival inaugurated in 2015 and has since been known as the best jamgrass event in the area. The festival takes place in the center of the beautiful Ozark Mountains in the height of fall. Located on a gorgeous DHP property known as “The Farm,” the festival fits in the regions’ traditional celebration of bluegrass music. Hillberry only allows 3000 guests to enter its special grounds. This allows for a very intimate and special festival experience. Additionally, no included in the lineup, campfire and campsite music jams will erupt, some planned and others not throughout the weekend. Aside from the music, art installations, workshops and activities for the whole family are also things to anticipate at Hillberry. Such activities include yoga, rock balancing, tie-dying, open forum discussions with headliners, and many more!
Location and Camping
The host location,”The Farm” property, is in itself also something to look forward to. With panoramic views of the hills of the Ozark Mountains, the site is an ideal location for Hillberry’s chill and colorful vibes.
There will also be an assortment of camping opportunities. Options of visitor camping areas include a mainstage, family, wooded, and hillside camping areas. For the best views, chose the hillside area. Chose the wooded area if you prefer to use a hammock camper. The wooded area also reduces the long walk to the stage area. There will also be a Festi-Cab service to give visitors with sore feet rides across the 160 acre property after days and nights filled with dancing.
A general store will offer food, non-alcoholic beverages, camping supplies, ice, and other necessitates for guests. However, food and drink availability will not be a problem on festival grounds. Hillberry is host to various food and beverage vendors who cater to all tastes and offer organic juices and coffee. There will even be booths that will sell unique crafts, art, and official Hillberry merchandise for souvenirs!
The Special Jerry Garcia Shrine
Last but definitely not least, there is a shrine at the top of the venue dedicated to the late Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Only a small hike away, guests can pay tribute to the legendary musician. The shrine was constructed by a Eureka Springs based artists known as “Ralph Shrine.” The goal of this installation is to honor Garcia, who left an impact on hundreds of thousands of fans through his incredible music. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to add to the “Jerry Shrine”, as its designers aimed it to be a continuously changing work of art.
