Iceland’s Secret Solstice is a unique festival that takes places during 96 hours of straight sunlight in Reykjavik from June 21-24, 2018. The festival recently announced that they are bringing back their signature side events, Into the Glacier and The Lava Tunnel. This festival combines world-class music with many one of a kind attractions that the land of fire and ice has to offer.
Named by The New York Times as one of “20 Places To Travel In Your 20s”, there are many reasons that Iceland is a popular destination for tourists eager to experience the country’s otherworldly landscape of glaciers and volcanic deserts. And recently being nominated by The European Festival Awards, its no surprise this festival attracts visitors from around the globe to dance in the rays of the never-setting midnight sun to a world-class and eclectic lineup. Attendees can expect to experience some of the many extraordinary environmental attractions that Iceland has to offer. Right outside of Reykjavik visitors can discover surreal landscapes including beautiful waterfalls, icy glaciers, black sand beaches, and vast volcanic fields. They can also visit the world-famous Blue Lagoon and a few of Game of Thrones filming locations.
Secret Solstice side events will please both music and nature lovers, through this once in a lifetime experience. Inside Europe’s second largest glacier Langjökull or journeying deep into a 5,200-year-old Lava Tunnel, those lucky enough to snag one of those highly prized tickets will be treated to an amazing exclusive performance from Icelandic and international artists. The tickets are extremely limited for Into the Glacier on Saturday, June 23 and The Lava Tunnel taking place on Saturday the 23 and Sunday the 24, both expected to sell out.
