ÎleSoniq Brings Stacked Lineup to Montreal for the Fourth Year – August 11 and 12

One of Canada’s biggest festivals, ÎleSoniq, is returning to Montreal for its fourth-year on August 11 and 12. With its impressive lineup that pulls acts from the best in dance and hip hop, ÎleSoniq is drawing in festival-goers from all over Canada and abroad.

The Lineup:

ÎleSoniq has out done themselves with this year’s lineup. They’ve beautiful curated it with performers from almost every sub-genre of EDM and a handful of amazing rappers. This lineup is sure to please everyone while giving attendees the opportunity to explore new artists. Some of this year’s headliners include Tiësto, Afrojack, Porter RobinsonMigos, MalaaDesiigner, and Excision.

The Location and Experience:

ÎleSoniq takes place at Parc Jean-Drapeau located on Ile Ste-Hélène in downtown Montreal. Festival-goers can take in the incredible backdrop of the Montreal skyline as they explore the park. It’s recommended that attendees bike or take the STM’s Metro system in order to get to the festival. ÎleSoniq is an all-ages event, children 10 and under are admitted free of charge when attending with an adult. The terrace and VIP levels are 18+, which is the legal drinking age in Quebec.

There are three music stages, all of which are found on the island, which means that finding a shaded viewing area is a must. The Neon stage mostly caters to house and techno fans on Friday with performers like Claude VonStroke, ELi & Fur, Kerri Chandler, and eekkoo. And on Saturday the Neon stages’ focus will be dubstep with acts like Ghastly, Spag Heddy, and headliner Excision. The main stage, Fido Oasis, will have sets from chart toppers like Juaz, Tiësto, Porter Robinson, Louis The Child, Robin Schulz, and KSHMR. The third stage, Bud Light, will feature mostly hip hop on Friday and house/trance on Saturday.

There’s no shortage of things to do and explore at ÎleSoniq. The park has a pool and water activities that people can play in to keep cool while dancing. Throughout the venue, guests can enjoy lawn games and activities like a Kandi making station. And like any good festival, local food truck favorites and funky art installations can be found.
