Groove Island 2019
For its’ inaugural event, fans can expect an annual Catalina Wine Mixer. Expect a fun mix of live bands, DJs, gourmet food, and fine wine all turned up to 11. As well as a daily dose of side-splitting stand-up comedy. There will be over 40 artists across several island venues and day and night costume theme parties such as the “Roaring ‘20s” in the Grand Casino Ballroom. Also expect to see the largest circular ballroom dance floor in the world to celebrate 100 Years of Wrigley’s Catalina.
To accommodate the expected attendance, Whet Travel has bought out nearly all of the hotels, AirBNBs, and the entire campground, plus will have yacht, ferry, and helicopter packages available. Accommodations and packages go on sale March 20 at noon PST 3 p.m. EST.
Once at Groove Island, a whole world of music, sports, culture, and entertainment await, and attendees can curate their own special movie-like experience. Whet Travel adoringly calls their fanbase “Captains”. They will be treated to over 40 dance music artists from multiple genres. It will be across several island venues while participating in day and night costume theme. Additionally, Groove Island Captains can indulge in an array of mouth-watering food. As well as a Whet Oasis chillout experience with yoga, meditation, and wellness workshops, a silent disco, side-splitting stand-up comedy, and plenty of other adventures also await. There will also be artist-hosted activities such as a golf and fishing tournament, hiking the mountainous interior, zip lining, jet skiing, ropes course, a ghost tour, culinary class and much more.
