Insomniac Events will present funds raised at the 18th annual Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas to three selected Las Vegas organizations: the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, the Emergency Medicine Resident Research Fund and the Injured Police Officers Fund, on Monday, October 27 at the LINQ Fountain Stage.
Each organization will receive a generous donation of $30,000. Since the festival’s move to Las Vegas in 2011, Insomniac has donated $325,000 to local and regional organizations. The donations were raised through Insomniac’s Charitable Giving Initiative, where $1 from each event ticket and $10 from each person on the guest list are collected. The organization receiving donations are determined by the festival’s location (EDC New York brought in $15,000 in donations for the Kip Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York).
Insomniac held the 18th annual Electric Daisy Carnival on June 20 – 22, 2014 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 400,000 fans throughout the three-day festival. The 1,000-acre complex was transformed into an audiovisual adventure with over 500 musical acts, theatrical performers, full-scale carnival rides, elaborate décor, state-of-the-art lighting and sound production, pyrotechnics and innovative stage designs along with nightly firework displays.
