Last year, Gem and Jam Festival altered their venue to offer the full festival experience. With the move from Downtown Tucson to a desert setting, the 2017 weekend was beyond successful. Pima County Fairgrounds will host the festival for its second year in a row on January 25-28, 2018. For its twelfth annual event, Gem and Jam just released its Phase 1 lineup, which includes two nights of STS9 and Lettuce. Additionally, Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth, Emancipator and Breaking Biscuits, which features members of the Disco Biscuits and Break Science will perform as well. As this is only the Phase 1 lineup, festival goers can look forward to announcements of even more of the biggest talent in the world.
“We are so excited to welcome our fans out to the desert to share in this amazing experience we are building,” says festival co-producer Toby White. “There is something for everyone at Gem & Jam and we still have many more surprises to come.”
Phase 1 Lineup
Not only STS9, Lettuce, Greensky Bluegress, Railroad Earth, Emancipator and Breaking Biscuits will be performing this year. Gem and Jam announced a large group of artists that people will not want to miss.
Other acts include: Thriftworks, The Russ Liquid Test, Masego, Random Rab, Michal Menert, Flamingosis, John Kadlecik’s Fellowship of the Wing, Govinda, Jade Cicada, Maddy O’Neal, Saqi, Ill Esha, Charlesthefirst, Modern Measure, Bass Physics, Marvel Years, Zoogma, Blunt Force, Safis Lab, Flying Skulls, Skydyed, Kyma, Adem Joel, Electric Feel, Smokovich, Endoplasmic, The Bennu, Neon Prophet Band, Jahmontee, SuDs, M/Q, Truth Cartel and GonzoFuZe.
The Festival Grounds
The Pima County Fairgrounds stretch across 640 acres, located about 20 miles south of downtown Tucson. The grounds offer an unforgettable festival experience surrounded by nature in a desert environment. The large area provides the most ideal setting for a multi-stage music and arts festival. Onsite RV camping with hookups, boutique camping, car camping and walk-in camping will be available for those camping on the festival grounds. Furthermore, attendees can look forward to world-class visuals and unique stage designs. There will also be on-site artist galleries, live paintings, experiential installations, daytime workshops, gem and mineral vendors and much more.

General Admission tickets are available now on their site for $169 + fees. For Deluxe RV Camping, Standard RV Camping, Car Camping, Walk-In Camping and Ready, Set Camp, prices start at $55 + fees.
