Bear in mind before we all get too excited that this lineup is technically unconfirmed, but it appears as though the ACL Weekend One lineup for October 2-4 was leaked a day early. I only say weekend one because even though most of the artists usually play both weekends, the lineups for each weekend have deviated slightly from each other in the past. The lineup was scheduled to be released at 6:00 am Central Time Tuesday (5/5) morning and regular tickets go on sale on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am, but some saint decided to give us a sneak peak before taking the post down. It turns out not all of the fake lineup that was released on April Fools day was a joke, because Alt-J, Vance Joy, Glass Animals, TV on the Radio, and a few others are all on the real lineup! The big headliners this year are The Foo Fighters, Drake, The Strokes, The Weeknd, Tame Impala, Deadmau5, Bassnectar, Disclosure, Hozier, Gary Clark Jr., Brand New, Of Monsters and Men, and honestly almost the entire rest of the lineup could be headliners at many other festivals. I was just talking with my friends yesterday about how we couldn’t even imagine how they planned to match last year’s monstrous lineup with Eminem, Outkast, Lana Del Rey, Beck, and Pearl Jam, but they did it!
