Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Festival Announces Lineup and Venue

The AFTERSHOCK Festival announces a new venue and a fantastic lineup for its fourth year. Due to the overwhelming success of previous years of California’s largest rock festival, Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK has expanded with onsite camping and an entirely new venue for the October 24th and 25th festival. The Gibson Rach is just outside of Sacramento, California and many rock fan favorites are set to play. Sacramento-native Chino Moren of Deftones says, “We’re looking forward to being one of the headliners at AFTERSHOCK this year and performing in our hometown.  It’s always special to return to the city that made us.”aftershock-festival

Special “Pre-Shock” discounted Weekend Tickets for Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK will begin on Wednesday, May 27 at 10:00 AM PT until May 31 at 11:59 PM PT or until tickets sell out. Get them here. Regularly prices tickets will go on sale Monday, June 1.

Single Day General Admission: $64.50

Single Day VIP: $119.50

For AFTERSHOCK producer Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents, choosing Gibson Ranch was a no brainer. Discovery Park, where the event was previously hosted, sold out for two straight years, but Wimmer felt it left no room for the festival to grow. “Gibson Ranch is a beautiful space that will keep the natural feel of the festival grounds but also give us room to add new experiences,” says Dimmer.

Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK festival is not playing around this year. The festival has added several activities and experiences, hoping to drive a crowd even bigger than years past. Not only will the festival host a killer lineup, but also live, in-ring matches with WWE’s NXT Superstars. Additional entertainment include artist autograph signings at the Monster Energy Hospitality Rig, a Thunder Valley Casino Resort VIP Lounge, local food and beverage food trucks, band autograph signings, and and experiences from several sponsors like the Jack Daniel’s Experience, The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience.

NXT is WWE’s developmental division based out of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL and has grown into one of the hottest sports entertainment brands in the world in just two years. Every Wednesday night at 8pm on the WWE Network, NXT continues to enthrall its audiences with insane athleticism and compelling story lines.

Two other experiences Wimmer is excited about are the Tequila World the Jack Daniel’s mobile museum. The Tequila World will feature a wide range of tequilas, extreme margaritas, mixologists, and gourmet tacos (also known as, heaven). The range of Tequilas offered are Patron, Don Julio, Cuerco, El Jimador, Cabo Wabo, and Espolon.

The Jack Daniel’s Experience mobile museum is striving to bring a “Taste of Tennessee” to Sacramento this year. Guests will be able to see and smell whiskey dripping slowly through charcoal into the new oak barrels used in developing Tennessee’s finest whiskey. Who was Mr. Jack Daniel and how did he end up with the best-selling whiskey in the world? Visit the museum to become the whiskey expert of all your friends.

But let’s talk about the main reason that 37,000 people gathered last year: the music. The daily band lineup for this year is just as awesome, with headliners like Slipknot, Faith No More, Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, Marilyn Manson, and Coheed & Cambria. Check the full daily lineup list below.
