Outlier is a new international event series curated by Simon Green aka Bonobo, launching Saturday 12th March 2016 at London’s Tobacco Dock. Live acts and DJs carefully handpicked by Bonobo will play at the all-day party across multiple rooms, as well as an extended DJ set from Bonobo himself.

A man at the top of his game, Bonobo has released four studio albums since joining Ninja Tune, with his last ‘The North Borders‘ receiving critical acclaim across the board and charting inside the UK Top 30. The following tour saw a string of sold-out shows, wowing a combined audience in excess of 2 million fans and culminating in a colossal road-block showcase at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace.

With another album in the workings, Outlier is an opportunity for Bonobo to harness his talents as a curator and arbiter of club culture, demonstrate his instinctive relationship with music and show he is equally adept as a DJ.

BonoboWith an uncompromising approach to programming, Bonobo has assembled a stellar lineup to join him at the striking East London venue. The first wave of artists announced include a live performance from Erased Tapes duo Kiasmos, who will showcase their lauded A/V show, returning to London by popular demand following a sold-out event at Electric Brixton in November.

Further sets will come from Nocturnal Sunshine – The darker, bassier alias of Maya Jane Coles – who’s self-titled debut dropped on her own label I AM Me to critical acclaim earlier this year. Continuing the theme of bass-leaning pseudonyms, Paul Woolford will make an appearance as Special Request; an alias set up to explore both the nostalgic and futuristic tendencies of electronic music, nodding to the raw sounds of early jungle. Glaswegian producer Alex Smoke will also join ranks, having recently announced his next album ‘Love Over Will‘ which is set to drop on R&S on January 22nd. Bringing his distinctive sun-drenched sounds to Tobacco Dock’s crowd, Lone will taking control of the dancefloor with further sets from Throwing Snow, Trevino and Hodge.

With many more acts still to be announced, Outlier looks set to be a stand-out event for 2016.
