Boston Calling recently revealed its schedule of performances for Friday May 22, 2015. Beck, Tame Impala and Sharon Van Etten will take the stage on Friday May 22nd. The festival also announced ethereal indie pop singer Halsey will replace Grizfolk on the weekend’s lineup due to an unforeseeable conflict in the band’s schedule. Wondering about the rest of the weekend? Don’t worry, the schedules for Saturday and Sunday will be revealed at a later date.
On Friday night Boston Calling fans will no doubt love catching three-time Grammy award winner Beck in one of his only two summer shows thus far announced, Aussie rockers Tame Impala, who recently announced they will release a new album this year, and Brooklyn singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten in her first U.S. show after a lengthy world tour.
Also, the festival is excited to add Halsey to the weekend’s lineup; the pop singer takes Grizfolk’s place after the band came across an unforeseeable scheduling conflict. Since debuting her EP, Room 93, this fall, Halsey has been praised for her sweet yet gritty vocals and drawn comparisons to Lorde, MS MR and Ellie Goulding. Her upcoming LP is highly anticipated this summer.
The lineup for Friday May 22, 2015 is as follows:
