Carolina Kickoff Concert
Basis Entertainment has released the full lineup for Carolina Kickoff Concert. The 2nd annual event will take place at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, NC on August 19th. Joining Blake Shelton at this year’s event will be Big & Rich, Parmalee, and Tucker Beathard.
Big & Rich is a multi-platinum hit duo comprised of Big Kenny and NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” winner John Rich. During the career the duo has garnered multiple Grammy, ACM, CMA, and CMT Music Award nominations. The first single, “Look At You,” from their latest studio album, Gravity, made its way into the top ten on the Country chart. The follow-up single, “Run Away With You,” kept the 
momentum rolling, also landing in the top ten, while the latest single, “Lovin’ Lately”, featuring Tim McGraw, also just scored top ten on the country charts. Their first studio album, Horse of a Different Color, includes their hit song, “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” Other hits include “Comin’ to Your City,” “8th of November” and their No. 1 hit, “Lost in this Moment.” Meanwhile, “Comin’ to Your City” is nearing a decade as the theme song for ESPN’s “College GameDay.
The 2016 ACM nominee for “New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year”, Parmalee, will also be taking the stage August 19th. Parmalee is one of country music’s most successful new acts, comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass) and life-long best friend Josh McSwain (guitar). Their debut country album, Feels Like Carolina, has earned the group three top ten hits including their multi-week #1 smash hit “Carolina.” Critical praise of the debut album was received from People, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsday, Billboard and more.
Rounding out the star-studded concert will be Big Machine Label Group’s Tucker Beathard. The “Momma and Jesus” singer released his debut single, “Rock On,” in February of 2016, and followed with his Fight Like Hell EP in October. Opening acts for The Carolina Kickoff Concert will be country newcomers David Ray and Adley Stump.
