Oregon Eclipse Festival 2017– In collaboration between 11 festivals around the world, Symbiosis will present Oregon Eclipse Festival August 17-23, 2017. This celebration will bring together a community to witness the first viewable total solar eclipse in North America since 1979. More than 300 artists will perform over 7 stages, and after much anticipation the complete lineup has finally been announced!
The Oregon Eclipse experience will be hinged by an unmatched fusion of immersive environments and musical exploration, creating sonic performances that can literally be stepped into. You could find yourself wandering into the multi-genre Eclipse Stage with Bassnectar, String Cheese Incident, and Sound Tribe Sector 9, to the House and Techno haven Sky Stage with Max Cooper, Justin Martin, and the Desert Hearts Crew, and even to the psychedelic Sun Stage with Perfect Stranger, Ace Ventura, and Raja Ram. I personally cannot wait to see Bassnectar, Bleep Bloop, Dimond Saints, Emancipator, Minnesota, The Glitch Mob, and Troyboi.
The Experience
While the lineup is exciting, Oregon Eclipse will offer a full experience for attendees. In addition, a no-screen policy ensures generic LED walls will be eschewed for stages, spaces, installations, and art built by artists from around the world. You can expect multiple areas of workshops, yoga & dance classes, and theatrical and circus performances.
Big Summit Prairie Ranch will provide the amazing backdrop for this life-changing event. Far from populated areas and cut off from phone reception, prepare to get lost in an experience without distractions from the outside world. The idyllic location combines 52 acre swimmable freshwater lake, rolling hills, wooded groves, and a vast grassy plain. Oregon Eclipse will build a temporal world inviting those who attend to embrace a different way of life for a full week.
In true Oregon form this festival will be a strict Leave No Trace environment. Big Summit Prairie Ranch has never been used before as an event site. As a result all things that arrive will have to depart when the event has concluded. Attendees therefore must take what they need to survive and leave the site with these things as well, including garbage. Be sure to pack extra garbage bags and other items that will help keep the campsite and grounds clean.
For one time only Oregon Eclipse Festival will bring people together in alignment with one of the most spectacular phenomena one can ever witness. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
