San Diego’s Waterfront Park will be the home of a new music festival this spring called CRSSD. Conceived by Goldenvoice, the mastermind behind Coachella and Stagecoach, and Fingrs Crssd, an entertainment company producing some of the best shows at Los Angeles’ Sound Nightclub, CRSSD Festival hosts an exciting line up of artists producing some of the best underground sounds. You won’t find Hardwell or Avicii on the bill but rather Robert Delong, DJ Harvey, Seth Troxler, and Jason Bentley. Empire of the Sun, Maceo Plex, and Jamie Jones will headline this inaugural festival.
Cue in Empire of the Sun’s electronic synthpop and Jamie Jone’s deep and tech house to start Spring Break off right. Groove to Justin Martin’s ridiculous deep house that seeps into your skin and let loose to Treasure Fingers’ disco funk. There’s high hope for this inaugural two-day festival, and with the Pacific Ocean as the festival’s backdrop there’s no better place to party than right here in the beautiful and sunny San Diego. CRSSD takes place on March 14-15, with tickets going on sale January 2, 2015. Two-day passes are $85, pretty much a steal for a new dance festival with this caliber of music.
