About CRSSD

Quinn Tucker

Since its debut over five years ago, CRSSD has blazed a unique path in the American festival scene. Fiercely independent, CRSSD has championed left of center house and techno in Southern California, bringing some of the world’s best DJs and producers to its unique oceanfront location, while showcasing the burgeoning power and diversity of live electronic music performance from its main stage.

CRSSD is located at Waterfront Park, just minutes away from the Amtrak station. It’s grassy haven is complete with picturesque sunsets, splash friendly fountains, and three waterfront stages. CRSSD also offers craft beer, gourmet food vendors, and a full mixology program. CRSSD is a 21+ festival.

The Lineup

This year’s Oceanview live stage is led by two of the most influential and popular acts in live contemporary music: Gesaffelstein and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Oceanview’s live performances are rounded out by vocalist Paris Grey’s collaborative project Inner City, the OVO signed pair Madjid Jordan, American dance-rockers The Rapture, Belgian powerhouse pioneers Soulwax, Israeli techno punk upstarts Red Axes, rapidly rising star Pluko, and the dramatic pop of Evan Giia and iconic downtempo act Télépopmusik

The Palms Stage (CRSSD’s home of house music) is led by local favorite Chris Lake. French touch is also well represented here with a special back to back between 2manydjs and Brodinski, Étienne de Crécy, French Express founder Perseus and Club Cheval’s Myd. Disco and upbeat house will be showcased by Purple Disco Machine. And, deeper house vibes will be brought by Patrick Topping.

The dramatic City Steps stage offers some of the finest techno including a first time performance by Carl Cox. Belgium’s Charlotte de Witte returns, along with London born Dax J.
