This June, BPitch label boss Ellen Allien is bringing her WE ARE NOT ALONE event series to Barcelona for the Off Week of this year’s Sonar Festival. As a major contributor to the overall festival experience, the Off Week parties and label showcases offer an array of events for music enthusiasts to choose from surrounding Sonar itself.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Sonar Festival and Ellen is planning to celebrate by taking over Barcelona’s City Hall on June 15th. The evening features a perfectly curated soundtrack superimposed on the illustrious atmosphere that is City Hall.
Joining the WE ARE NOT ALONE showcase are a group of hand-picked artists featuring Brooklyn-based artist Aurora Halal, Italy’s acid-laced techno duo Boston 168 (live), BPitch artist Silvie Loto and of course, Ellen Allien herself.
Located where the Barcelona Theatre was once situated at the start of the XIX century, City Hall has been restored to create a modern and sophisticated environment, without losing the beauty of its original construction. Not to mention, the venue also boasts a “MARTIN AUDIO” sound system, to ensure an auditory experience that’s just as impressive as the visual.
