Feeling Wonderful at Something Wonderful in Dallas!

Something Wonderful was held this past Saturday in Dallas, Texas at the Cotton Bowl. Artists performing included Tchami, Mr. Carmack, Brillz, Troyboi and Slander. Despite the weather, we all made the most of the hours of music we got to enjoy before the weather hit.

Something Wonderful

Something Wonderful

There were two stages including the Main Stage and the Bass stage. We arrived early in anticipation to catch the artists who performed early in the day. We arrived around 1:30 pm with music starting at 2 pm. We were able to get a parking spot close to the front. Parking was easy and there was plenty of parking spaces for all of the guests attending. We then headed to the gates to go through security. There were several lines for security including separate lines for VIP and GA. The security process was quick and easy. Once going through security we headed to the bass stage. Local producer, Wall started off the bass stage off right. Wall immediately got the crowd in festival dance mode and we were all ready to jam! One of my personal favorites was “Ohmygod.” Check it out here:

Next we headed to the main stage to check out Mako. Mako is an up and coming EDM duo who recently released a new track “I won’t let you walk away.” Their set was filled with uplifting energy that was felt throughout the crowd.

Next on mainstage was Ansolo. He dropped one of my favorites, his remix of runaway along with several other bangers.

Troyboi, Mr. Carmack, Snails, and Brillz all performed on the Bass Stage. Mr Carmack dropped “Blessings.” The vocals to this track are very real and hit home for a lot of people. It’s always good to experience those relatable tracks live with everyone surrounding you. It is a great reminder that we all go through similar struggles in life yet we need to remember what to be thankful for and that we are all here together to get through them. Snails music is depicted perfectly by his name- very snaily! We all felt those snaily sounds and got down to his very unique and different music. Brillz!!! Brillz is always a blast to experience live. These guys know how to hype up a crowd. They have a lot of awesome remixes that everyone can sing a long to and recognize. Brillz has a little something for everyone from Lil Boozy to Katy Perry. They throw in so much diversity and variety into their sets that keeps everyone engaged and dancing. There is nothing but a non-stop party when Brillz is around!

BLESSED

Now lets talk about Tchami!! Tchami absolutely killed his set so hard that the weather couldn’t even handle it. As Tchami was in the middle of a bangin’ set, the rain came down. His dancy tunes leave everyone with only one choice and that is to dance. Even if you’re not in the mood to dance, listen to Tchami and feel your body get in groove mode. Tchami does wonders to the musical soul.

Once the rain hit around 7:30 pm, the festival did need to come to an end for the safety of all of the festies. Despite the rain, Something Wonderful still brought everyone together for the love of music. Until next time let all remember feeling wonderful at SOMETHING WONDERFUL!
