Destination and cruise festivals are becoming more and more popular with the likes of Jam Cruise, S.S. Coachella, and several artist sponsored cruises drawing attendees from all over. Now ShipRocked, the ultimate rock and roll cruise, is set to sail from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas in it’s biggest year yet! Headlining the festival will be Limp Bizkit along with Chevelle, Metal Allegiance, Black Label Society, Buckcherry, P.O.D., Sevendust, Tremonti, Andrew W.K. and many more.
Festivalgoers will sail aboard the Norwegian Pearl February 2-6, 2015, although they are encouraged to start their vacation early with the ShipRocked Super Sail Away Pre-Party on February 1st. This pre-party will feature Chevelle’s only ShipRocked performance, as well as sets from Sevendust and Wilson. These early arrivers will get to board the boat a day early (for about the cost of an average hotel room), enjoy the ships amenities, and sleep in while the additional passengers board.
Everyone involved in putting ShipRocked together knows that the festival will be a memorable experience that provides guests an opportunity to vacation with their favorite bands, meet new friends, and reunite with old friends year after year. “Limp Bizkit? New album? Sunshine? Metal party? Phil Anselmo? Unlimited lobster? Half-naked women? No rules? Loud music? Every day? Every night? Repeat five times in a row? You don’t have to ask me twice. I’M IN!!!!! See you there, Bizkit heads,” said Fred Durst, of Limp Bizkit.
On any given day, attendees might find themselves dining, drinking, rocking out, swimming, working out, or gambling amongst their favorite rock stars. Two days of the festival will be spent enjoying concerts and activities on a private beach on Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. Guests can parasail, snorkel, go canoeing and more! If you’re there to rock as much as possible, there will be multiple performances from every band, artist meet and greets, Q&A sessions, and a slew of other parties and artist hosted activities.
“ShipRocked is about great live music, and it’s about the fans. The way that crowds have responded to Limp Bizkit’s return to the stage – and the way the band has embraced its fans during those performances – truly epitomizes that spirit. And Metal Allegiance is a band of world class musicians, heavy metal legends in their own right, performing not just for the fans, but AS fans of the great hard rock and metal tradition that’s helped to shape so many of the bands that we have on board this year,” says event producer Alan Koenig of ASK4 Entertainment. If rock, metal, and the high seas sounds like a perfect festival, you definitely don’t want to miss ShipRocked 2014!
