LANDMARK MUSIC FESTIVAL LINEUP BY DAY REVEALED

I’ve never been compelled to return to the nation’s capital. I visited the city during a summer break and it left my mouth tasteless. Between the tourists, the horrendous traffic, and the perpetual political conversations in places that have no business being political, I crossed it off my bucket list and intended to never return, nor answer another question about foreign politics ever again. However, the inaugural Landmark Music Festival just might be my one exception.

The lineup by day was revealed and unveiled Drake as the Saturday headliner and celebrated the rock band The Strokes as the festival closers on Sunday. Ben Howard, Miguel, The War on Drugs, Nate Reuss, Wale and others will light up the stage on Saturday, while Sunday brings exciting performances from CHVRCHES, TV on the Radio, George Ezra, alt-J, and many others. The complete lineup is below.

The festival is intended to raise awareness, participation, and fundraising to restore the National Mall, the most visited national park in America. Landmark Music Festival is partners with the Trustfor the National Mall, and will be the first event helping to support Trust’s Landmark Campaign. Award-winning Chef José Andrés partnered with Landmark Music Festival to curate the festival food court, hand-selecting all of the culinary vendors for this year’s event, in addition to creating his own fare for patrons to enjoy. The range of food offered during the festival will reflect the melting pot nature of American cuisine as well as the great culinary diversity of Washington D.C.

The festival will take place at West Potomac Park in Washington D.C. on September 26-27, featuring 40+ artists on 5 stages, interactive installations, educational elements, and a mini-festival for kids. Single day passes are $105 and are available here along with Early Bird 2-day passes for $150, and VIP, Platinum, and travel packages.

The lineup for Saturday includes Drake, Ben Howard, Band of Horses, Miguel, The War on Drugs, Nate Reuss, Wale, Twin Shadow, The Lone Bellow, Daughter, Albert Hammond, Jr., Ex Hex, The Mowgli’s, Rebirth Brass Band, U.S. Royalty, Vandaveer, Erik Hassle, Lion Babe, The London Souls, The Hunts, and Empresarios.

Sunday includes The Strokes, alt-J, CHVRCHES, Chromeo, TV on the Radio, George Ezra, Lord Huron, The Kills, Dr. John and the Nitetrippers, Dan Deacon, Houndmouth, The Joy Formidable, Rhiannon Giddens, boots, In the Valley Below, Hiss Golden Messenger, Red Baraat, Avers, The Suffers, The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers, and Ace Cosgrove.
