Rock in Rio Brazil has announced it has sold out its exclusive Brazilian pre-sale in one hour and 40 minutes. The 100,000 sold vouchers, which will later be redeemed for a daily ticket, show the excitement for the festival as at the moment the organization only announced three artists announced for the September 2015 edition: Katy Perry, System of a Down and John Legend. Rock In Rio Brazil will take place in Rio de Janeiro on September 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27.

To help promote the Brazilian pre-sale, Rock in Rio held a contest on the streets of Rio de Janeiro to find 30 suitcases, each containing a Rock in Rio card redeemable for a Rock in Rio Brazil ticket. The contest drew 15,000 participants, who competed in a puzzle to forward in the game. 300 people moved on to take part in a scavenger hunt to find the actual 30 cases that contained 2 Rock in Rio Brazil tickets.  The stunt was inspired by the iconic Rock in Rio global ad campaign featuring Donald Sutherland that aired in the USA and also in Brazil.

Next year, Rock in Rio USA will take over the Las Vegas Strip for the first time on May 8-9 and May 15-16, 2015. The excitement is for Rock in Rio USA is building fast: In a recent research performed in California and Las Vegas, 51% of the public stated they will be purchasing tickets for Rock in Rio USA.

The City of Rock, a permanent open-air concert venue will be located on The Strip near the corner of Sahara Avenue, spread out over 37 acres and have the capacity for 85,000 people per day. The venue will have six stages including three themed Rock Streets encompassing the culture and music of the U.S., UK and Brazil that will receive over 100 acts as well as a zip line that stretches 64 feet high and 600 feet long in front of Main Stage. The venue also includes a VIP area that can accommodate up to 4000 people; an air-conditioned area with a unique view of the City of Rock and an all-inclusive buffet.

After an exclusive pre-sale, tickets for the first stateside edition will go on sale on January 20with general admission weekend passes available for $298* and VIP daily passes available for $498.
