June 29th, starlet and recording artist, Selena Gomez will headline Summerfest at the Marcus Amphitheater, having marked the entertainment stage, conquering film, music and television at an early age. With over 45 million tracks sold worldwide, she has now released her new single today, “Kill Them With Kindness”. In cinema, she transitioned from a young actress to now starring in Harmony Korine’s “Spring Breakers”. Premiered at the Venice Film Festival, the film gained critical acclaim, while Gomez’s performance was singled out as a “breakout.” Most recently, Gomez has taken on Academy Award nominated film “The Big Short”, opposite Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling and “Fundamentals of Caring”, alongside Paul Rudd– premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Gomez was named by Vulture.com as one of “The 20 Best Performances of Sundance 2016.“ She will next be seen in Seth Rogen’s “Neighbors 2” and later this year in the James Franco directed “In Dubious Battle.”
Being a part of the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, Gomez will perform among other greats, including Paul McCartney, Pitbull, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton.
