Sia is the songwriter who became one of the biggest pop artist in the world, without compromising her integrity or artistry. Her music is a magnificent journey through spellbinding soundscapes, mystical and magical pop music of the highest quality. Epic and sublime while intimate and emotional. Having written for the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and David Guetta she then made her big break with the monster hit Chandelier in 2014 and the following album 1000 Forms of Fear topped the lists all around the world and her hotly anticipated new album – This Is Acting – will be released January 29th. Choosing anonymity, Sia’s focus has always been on the music and those lucky enough to see her perform live is a rare pleasure. Way Out West festival welcomes Sia to the stage in Slottsskogen for her first ever performance on Swedish soil and European festival performance.

Jamie xx has had a stand-out year with his debut album ‘In Colour’ reaching number 3 in the UK charts and cementing his position as one of the most exciting producers around thanks to numerous stand out festival performances. Scottish act Chvrches also finish 2015 on a high having released their second studio album second album ”Every Open Eye’ to critical acclaim, whilst local songstress Anna Von Hauswolff flies the flag high for Swedish folk. UK Grime pioneer Stormzy will undoubtedly slay the crowd in his own inimitable style and French producer M83 will also be bringing his dreamy synths to the Way Out West main stage for a rare performance, and still many more artist to be announced.
Way Out West will be returning to its home in Slottskogen Park from 11th to the 13th of Augustfor one of Europe’s biggest celebrations of music and film and its 10th anniversary celebrations. 2015 saw it justify its status as Spotify’s top three most influential festival with the likes of Beck, Pet Shop Boys, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Florence & The Machine, Alt-J, Tyler The Creator, Run The Jewels, Patti Smith, FKA Twigs and more who all played unforgettable shows against the backdrop of the breathtaking city of Gothenburg.
Regular features to Way Out West’s programme will also return, such as its inspiring Film Festival, which will feature the most innovative producers, directors and premiers from around the world as well as Way Out West’s Stay Out West, giving revellers a chance to sample groundbreaking artists in the city’s most striking cultural late night hotspots. The Way Out West Music Conference will also return for its third year, with key influencers on board to discuss the future of its industry and its current position.
