“Love is Your Name,” the Country single by Steven Tyler, is quickly climbing its way up the Country radio charts. Tyler is considered one of music’s most recognizable and dynamic front men and has been cited as “one of the greatest singers of all time” by Rolling Stone, so it is no surprise that the music mogul is taking a swing at country music. He released the music video for his Country single on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier this week and was recently signed to Dot Records, a label underneath the Big Machine Label Group along with Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw. Tyler is excited about the video stating there was much collaboration between director Trey Fanjoy and him. The “gypsy chic” video, as Tyler calls it, was shot outside of Nashville’s city limits. Watch it here now.
“This video has so many personal elements in it for me. I came from a family that was a touring band. I grew up as a young boy with my pet raccoon and my slingshot. My real band Loving Mary is featured in the video,” explained Tyler. “This song and video both resemble what the album will sound like.”
In addition to having nine #1 hits, 25 gold, 18 platinum, and 12 multi-platinum certifications, Tyler and his band members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Two years ago, Tyler was awarded with the Founders award at the ASCAP Pop Awards and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Could one of Rock and Roll’s kings be taking a permanent turn to country?
