On July 1st, Toronto music lovers will flock to Hanlan’s Point Island, for the one and only Electric Island, to celebrate Canada’s Birthday! Now in its sixth consecutive year, Electric Island has become Canada’s most sought out underground dance music festival, offering 5 events throughout the summer. 

Offering a line up of international talent for each curated event, Electric Island announced a stellar season line up earlier this year. On July 1st, Canada Day, top acts such as The Martinez Brothers, Jackmaster, Anna, Billy Kenny,  Jade, Robert Babicz, will take festival goers on a musical journey. Future Dates Include: July 1, August 11, September 2 & 3 2018.

1. Escape the City:

Getting to Electric Island is like a field trip in itself. Hop on a ferry or a water taxi, and escape the busy metropolis city and enter the serene calm Hanlan’s Point Island. You’ll be surrounded by large oak trees, grassy landscapes and beautiful view of Toronto’s skyline. Connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

2. Day Vibes: 

There’s nothing like day vibes during a summer festival. Electric Island opens the doors at 2:00PM, so be sure to arrive and enjoy the opening acts, with some sunshine and a cold drink to start off the day.

3. The International Artist Lineup: 

We can’t deny that Electric Island always curates the best line ups! With international DJs coming through each event, you’ll be sure to catch a new act each time. Discover a new artist with 2 stages to choose from!

4. Picnic Experience:

Electric Island is known as a concert and picnic series, with a variety of delicious gourmet food trucks available. Be sure to indulge in the tasty treats! You’ll find everything from fire wood oven pizzas, tacos, vegetarian options, and more!

5. Golden Hour:

When the sun starts to descend, there’s a period we call the ‘golden hour’ or ‘magic hour.’ Around 7 or 8PM, this is when the most beautiful part of the day happens. The sun is glistening through the crowd of festival goers, dancing in the sun’s rays of light. It truly is a magical experience.
