When planning out your festival calendar this year, Travis Barker’s 9th Annual MUSINK is not one you will want to miss. It’s officially festival season and it seems that with each day comes a new lineup stacked with a slew of artists from each respective genre. It’s easy to get caught up amidst the lineups of these huge, mainstay festivals–especially ones teasing legendary band reunions, much-anticipated surprise guest assumptions, and you can’t forget the rumored hologram of [insert legendary, deceased band member here].

Thus, lesser-known fests tend to get lost, especially this year among the confirmed and long-awaited LCD Soundsystem reunion, Ice Cube’s hint at a potential reunion of his own, sparking N.W.A. hype, and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to welcome recently reconciled legends Axl Rose and Slash, alongside bassist Duff McKagan, back ‘to the jungle,’ as the renowned rock group take the stage as Guns N Roses. While such news admittedly foreshadows an unforgettable festival season, those like MUSINK, which cater to a specific demographic, arguably end up proving to be some of the most impressive ones of the year. The good news is, FestPop has got you covered, and in the case of this one, you’re not going to want to miss out.

MUSINK is exactly what it sounds like—a unique festival unlike any other,  incorporating three different aspects: a car show, tattoo convention, and lastly, a killer music festival. Best part: you can experience all three for the price of one! This year, leave your tents and camping gear at home and head out to Costa Mesa to catch this year’s fest and see what all the hype’s about.

This video from Sullen Clothing will give you a little glimpse into what you’ve been missing and can expect at this year’s convention:

In case you didn’t catch it, Blink 182’s Travis Barker, announced this year’s 2016 MUSINK lineup via interview on the world famous KROQ’s ‘The Kevin & Bean show’ last week, between talks of other current projects, including a forthcoming Blink album, as well as a solo project, and the fest itself–calling it the “most massive year to date.” Set for March 4, 5, and 6 at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, lovers of cars, music, and…ink, or tattoos, alike, will all be gathering together for MUSINK—a car show, tattoo convention, and music festival spanning for three days long. Given its name, the event will be showcasing over 300 tattoo artists, including some of the most revered talents in the tattoo community, paired with an impressive lineup, featuring performances from new headliners like Taking Back Sunday, Snoop Dogg, Deftones, Face To Face, to MUSINK veterans, Circa Survive, The Transplants, and Atreyu, among others.

Since the festival emerged in 2008, MUSINK Fest’s bills have remained consistent and have continued to bring some of the best artists in their respective genres throughout the past eight years. Past acts among the likes of Blink-182, The Used, New Found Glory, Tech N9ne, NOFX, Tiger Army, Rancid, Against Me!, Thrice, Bad Religion, and even a Pennywise reunion with Randy, Byron, Jim, and Fletcher—the band’s original members, make this year’s attendance a no brainer as it will definitely be one for the books. MUSINK sets itself apart from the rest—bringing car enthusiasts, tattoo lovers, and music fans together for what is sure to be an unforgettable weekend in Costa Mesa and an experience unlike any other.

Don’t fancy a new tattoo? Perhaps check out the car show or catch some of the sets! Even if you’re not a fan of punk rock music (there’s always Snoop!) and none of these names ring a bell, there is always the option of purchasing tickets solely for the car show and tattoo convention. But, rest assured, there is something for everyone at this three-day long fest filled with music, food, booze, ink, classic cars, and more!

Snoop Dogg and The Transplants will be taking the stage that Friday night, along with a surprise special guest according to the bill. Taking Back Sunday and Deftones are scheduled to perform that Saturday, with the lineup teasing yet another special guest that evening. Thus, Circa Survive, Atreyu, and Face to Face are left to close out the last day of the festival that Sunday.

In addition to its stacked lineup of musical talent, MUSINK’s tattoo convention will feature world-renowned tattoo artists among the likes of GTC’s Tattooland, Spotlight Tattoo, Nikko Hurtado, Gold Rush Tattoo, Shamrock Social Club, Norm, Baba, Oliver Peck, Corey Miller and many more displaying their artistry. Artists travel from all over the United States to participate in this convention and it’s no wonder why. Thinking about getting a new piece? Why not have it done by one of many revered artists in the tattoo industry?

Ladies: if you’re already tatted, try your luck at becoming this year’s Miss MUSINK! Each year, MUSINK leaves it up to Sullen Clothing’s Angels to seek out the most beautiful (and inked) woman. The top picks are then invited to the festival March 4th-6th in order to compete for the coveted title of Miss MUSINK 2016, also granting the winner a spot as the next official Sullen Angel.
