Morocco’s Oasis Festival has just released the final wave of artists who will be joining the lineup for this one-of-a-kind experience taking place September 14-16 at the beautiful Fellah Hotel in Marrakech. Featuring Sasha, Hot Since 82, Joy Orbison, Cinthie and more. The final additions are the perfect counterpart to an already incredible lineup starring Avalon Emerson, Ben Klock, Carl Cox, DJ Koze, Honey Dijon, Jessy Lanza, Mount Kimbie, Peggy Gou and The Black Madonna. This year, in addition to the music, Oasis Festival will expand the fest with The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) and ‘Welcome to the Kingdom’ two experiences set to showcase the very best of Morocco’s contemporary art, culture and design.
Leading the lineup is Last Night on Earth front man and GRAMMY nominated producer, Sasha, who is still soaring from his 2017 release of his ‘Refracted’ live album. Others to look forward to are Hot since 82 who will bring his signature house beats along with UK bass and techno sensation, Joy Orbison. Rounding out the add on’s are tech house tastemaker Alex Niggemann, Chicago house hero, Boo Williams, a special b2b set from Berlin’s Cinthie and Morocco’s own, Unes, Kali G., Pandi, Fassi and LasriZ.
The Atmosphere
This year is especially exciting because The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden will be joining the fest. This museum has received praise from Forbes and Vogue along with hosting shows in New York and London. Genuine Moroccan art, culture and history will be showcased opening the eyes to the local creative scene.
Another new addition for 2018 is ‘Welcome to the Kingdom,’ a cultural, creative and immersive space curated by acclaimed Moroccan fashion designer, Amine Bendriouich. The captivating space will bring the best avant-garde Morocco has to offer from the fields of design, music, art and culture. The well-known and very well celebrated cocktail bar, Barometre, is set to make their return to Oasis, serving up a delectable menu of fusion drinks. Also in attendance will be the festival’s hookah lounge, champagne bar and wide array of any culinary delights apart of Marrakech’s contemporary food scene.
To round out the fest, there will be an on-site spa, daily yoga and meditation, swimming pools and tropical gardens. Oasis Festival really provides a relaxing atmosphere that will transport you to another world alongside an astounding music lineup putting this festival at the top of your ‘must attend’ list.
